Defining gambling is an important step in preventing children from getting involved in the harmful activity. Children are often exposed to gambling through their family and friends, as well as through television and online gambling. In this study, children were asked to identify 5 key elements that make a game gambling. These include the type of bet and the money involved. It is also important to note that a game cannot be just about winning something. It should result in a loss that is greater than the amount of money wagered. In addition, children were asked to differentiate between losing money to friends or family members and losing it to a company or organization. This distinction was most important in identifying the purpose of a gambling game.<\/p>\n
